{spry magazine}

i was contacted by spry magazine a few months ago to see if i would be interested in doing a photoshoot for the november cover. i honestly thought it was a joke at first. haha. i'm just a small town photographer doing what i love and was so excited to be given this chance. i was told about sonja, the women i would be photographing, and i was thrilled to jump at this opportunity.
the photo session was such a fun time! we even had 2 adorable puppies and sonja's dog join us!
i was able to see the layout a few weeks ago,
but when i saw it in the paper today i was so excited!
spry magazine is distributed in the newspapers nationwide.
i was told they print 9.2 million copies...eek!!!

{sessions update}

i thought i would post an update here because i'm getting lots of emails.
unfortunately, i am not taking any more session for 2009.
i am booking for 2010 and will be available after the 5 of january.

if you are wanting to book a session for next year, i'm suggesting that you book it at least 3-4 months in advance. i will only be doing 2-3 session per week and spots will fill up fast.

if you are thinking about booking a wedding with us, i only have 2-3 spots left---one in august, one in september and possibly one in june. if you are interested, please email me soon and i would love to talk to you about your big day!

{session availability update}

i just wanted to let everyone know...i am officially booked for 2009. i will not be taking any more sessions for the remainder of the year. i am still taking any and all sessions for 2010.....including weddings (july and august are almost full for weddings). if you are interested in booking a session next year, send me an email. i look forward to it.

{new logo!!}

i'm so excited to show my new logo!! i've been wanting a change, a re-branding of sorts. i wanted something more timeless, more me....and i wanted to add my name to it.
sooooo......here it is! the amazing and talented marie is the one who did it for me.

{i'm back!}

we are back and settling back in to the real world. we had a fantastic time this past week in the gorgeous city of cancun, mexico! what a great time!! swimming with dolphins, jet skiing, sun, swimming and LOTS of family time. i couldn't have asked for anything better! a perfect vacation.

things are very busy ahead, so stay tuned! lots of seniors, couples, weddings and families to come! all emails and phone calls will be returned asap.

i am thrilled to announce that i now have a website just for weddings! you can access it through the same site as my portraits (thousandwordsphotographmt.com)...you just now have the option of going to weddings, portraits or my blog. there are so many things that go into wedding days, that i felt i couldn't squeeze it all in under one wedding gallery, so a new site was in need. i will be adding, changing and swapping stuff around all summer long, so make sure you check in often!

i am currently booked for june and july (with the exception newborns from the expecting mothers i have already spoke with). if you are looking to book a summer session, i have a very limited amount of spots left (2, maybe 3) for august.
i am now booking for september/october. it's not to early to start thinking about fall photos!

miss p and i hit the town today. what a gorgeous little girl! she is near and dear to my heart....the daughter i've never had :)

i am thrilled to announce....

some of you may know that my husband is an outdoor/wildlife photographer here in montana. about 3 years ago, he decided that he wanted to write a book using his photography. well, with lots of blood sweat and tears he made his dream come true. he enlisted the help of my mom (KC) who is a elementary school teacher and photographer as well and together they have made this beautiful book! we just received them in the mail and they are now available for sale. how exciting!!!!
he is in the process of thinking up new ideas for new books, so i may have to get in on the next one...haha.
i feel like we have given birth to another child! i am SOOOO proud of them both!!!

and of course, what kind of wife/daughter would i be if i didn't say, if you would like to purchase one let me know!!! they are $10 and you can either get them through me (he and she can inscribe them) or through the publishing company directly.

happy {fall}

it's one of my favorite times of the year. i love how beautiful the color turn, the crisp cool air and the smell of fire places starting up for the first time since winter. it's seasons like this that i realize what a beautiful part of the country i live in. happy first day of fall!
