i was thrilled today when i checked my inbox to find out my desert session with jamie and richie was being featured on onewed.com! i loved this session and with their wedding happening TOMORROW, it totally made my day..my week!!

{desert romance} | kalispell wedding photographer

the past 4 days, jeremie and i traveled to las vegas for WPPI. it's a huge photography convention. packed full of vendors, speakers, information, learning and FUN!! we had an amazing time. there were so many highlights on the trip for me...SO many!! but i think one big highlight for both jeremie and i was the opportunity to do a photo session in the desert.
i was contacted by jamie of jagg photography, who was also attending wppi, and she asked if we would be available to do a session for them. jamie and richie will be getting married march 20th and decided that they wanted to bring the wedding dress along. it was just too good of an opportunity to pass up!! so, of course, we jumped at the chance to do photos for them...really, how often does a couple from montana get the chance to photograph a couple from north carolina in the desert!........and i'm so glad we did!! it was beautiful there and jamie and richie were amazing!! we had so much fun with them and it was wonderful to meet them!

since it was the first time that richie was seeing jamie in her wedding dress, we took a minute for them to meet at the hotel before we headed out.





then we headed out to red rock canyon. WOW! it was so beautiful. i'm so used to the snowy mountains of montana and the hues of blue........but the red rocks, red dirt and muted, natural colors just took my breath away! we arrived just as the sun was leaving us, but we managed to get some beautiful shots of them. can you believe it snowed the night before there? crazy, huh??
so jamie was a bit chilly, but such a trooper!!
jamie and richie are so in love, so fun and a pure joy to be around.

it was another gorgeous wedding!! a huge congrats to dale and kristen!! it was an amazing fall day (looked like rain, but we never did get any) and everything was so perfect. kristen was a stunning bride and dale, such a handsome groom. we really had a wonderful time yesterday. it was such an honor to be a part of your amazing day! thank you for letting us capture it for you!

i think i heard one of my favorite things from all of the weddings this summer. as the night was coming to an end and thank yous were being given, kristen said, "i know it's only day one....but this marriage is totally gonna rock!!". i LOVE that!!! :)

dale and kristen chose not to see each other until the wedding, so we got lots of great pictures of the guys and gals!









then it was time for the ceremony....and it was beautiful!






after the ceremony, we rushed outside to get pictures of the newlyweds just as the sun was setting.






it wasn't long before we were interrupted. ha ha :)

and they will live happily ever after...


this was our last wedding for 2009 and jeremie and i want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing couples from this summer. each and everyone of you have a special place in our hearts. we truly feel blessed to be able to do what we do.....and we couldn't do that with out you. so, thank you again and we love you all!! xo
