mom contacted me a while back because she realized that her oldest would be going off to college after this year and she might not have another chance to get pictures of all 3 kids together.....
so that's what we did!
tonight was a cold, dark night...but these 3 kids weren't phased a bit. aren't they gorgeous children?! it was just the 3 and me and we had a fun (and muddy) time tonight.

{spry magazine}

i was contacted by spry magazine a few months ago to see if i would be interested in doing a photoshoot for the november cover. i honestly thought it was a joke at first. haha. i'm just a small town photographer doing what i love and was so excited to be given this chance. i was told about sonja, the women i would be photographing, and i was thrilled to jump at this opportunity.
the photo session was such a fun time! we even had 2 adorable puppies and sonja's dog join us!
i was able to see the layout a few weeks ago,
but when i saw it in the paper today i was so excited!
spry magazine is distributed in the newspapers nationwide.
i was told they print 9.2 million copies...eek!!!

i had the pleasure of meeting another wonderful family again tonight. super sweet and beautiful 10 yr old, c, and super adorable 5 month old, j.w. were just a joy!
although it got cold fast for the little guy, he hung in there for a bit and was sweet as can be. thank you so much for a wonderful session, t family!

{sessions update}

i thought i would post an update here because i'm getting lots of emails.
unfortunately, i am not taking any more session for 2009.
i am booking for 2010 and will be available after the 5 of january.

if you are wanting to book a session for next year, i'm suggesting that you book it at least 3-4 months in advance. i will only be doing 2-3 session per week and spots will fill up fast.

if you are thinking about booking a wedding with us, i only have 2-3 spots left---one in august, one in september and possibly one in june. if you are interested, please email me soon and i would love to talk to you about your big day!

{b family}

although it doesn't...i really think that the "b" in "b family" should stand for beautiful. they are seriously one of the most beautiful families that i have ever seen. gorgeous kids and when you see the parents you know why!!
we battled some wind and cold, but the kids were so good and the light was fantastic!

{it's birthday time}

it's been so much fun to watch this little princess grow...from our first session at just days old to now, a year old. tomorrow is little miss peyton's 1st birthday! she is such a beautiful little girl.
i get to see this family a lot and their little girls have a special place in my heart. although this session was all about the birthday girl, i did sneak some in of her equally adorable big sister.
she's too darn cute not too!

i just wanted to show one from my session this morning. i'm not going to blog it b/c it was just a couple minute session (tried one more time to try and get some smiles out of miss a), but i had to post this one :)

this session was soooooo amazing! fantastic and beautiful senior, beyond gorgeous scenery, perfect weather and light, good friends and lots of laughs.
the mountains at the end of this session are just amazing.
this is definitely on the top of my list for favorite sessions. katy, you seriously rock. i am so happy you contacted me to do your senior photos. i really had a great time.
it was so wonderful to meet you and your friends.
ha...nothing makes you feel older than spending a couple hours in the car with 3 teenage girls who think that once they hit 18 that they are old. ha ha :) you guys made me laugh...a lot!

{too darn cute}

so, i have obviously lost my 18 month old mojo. second time this week i have run into an 18 month old who does not think that i am cool at all.....luckily for me, miss m thought that the red chair was super cool. at least for a little while :)
o and m are 2 adorable kids!! i photographed them last winter and i was excited to see them again. they make me smile! this was our...i think...4th attempt at pictures. we were rained out every time before. although today was cold, we made it work!

{patrick + alison = engaged!}

last night was a fun, fun session! beautiful couple...seriously...look at them! up for anything, full of love and laughter. we even had a little sunshine and some beautiful light. yay!!
patrick and alison will be getting married next fall and i'm already looking forward to it! they are a great, great couple and i'm so excited to be able to capture their special day for them!

well, this mornings session was a mini one to say the least :) little miss a wanted nothing to do with pictures today. she was not having it...so we snapped a few of her super adorable brothers, snuck in a couple ones of her before she knew what we were doing and then called it a wrap. it was only about 20 minutes, but we will try it again and miss a will have her time to shine :)

so, here is another beautiful senior! i did lauren's session a couple days ago and it was cold, dark and rainy...not the most beautiful day.....but lauren total rocked it! what a trooper she was. i don't think she had any idea what i was getting her into. ha ha. i told her it would be super muddy, but i'm pretty sure she wasn't expecting to walk through 6 inches of mud and cow poo...and she did it all with a smile!

i feel like i haven't blogged in forever! i've been fighting this yucky weather we're having...rain, snow and too cold for little ones. tonight was cold and super cloudy,
but we made it through and had a great time.
roxanne contacted me about doing pictures for her to use for her business and website....fun!! we had lots of laughs and i think we got lots of great shots. roxanne has the best smile!

{brielle--16 days}

miss brielle is one beautiful baby...with beautiful name to match.
she is so loved and admired--especially by her 2 adorable older brothers!!
b kinda kept one eye on what we were doing the whole time and didn't really want to sleep. i think she was afraid she was going to miss out on the fun,
but we had moments where i thought we had her sleeping :)
miss b is the cousin of the last precious newborn, gavin, that i just did.
it was so fun to see them both together!

i just wanted to let everyone know...i am officially booked for 2009. i will not be taking any more sessions for the remainder of the year. i am still taking any and all sessions for 2010.....including weddings (july and august are almost full for weddings). if you are interested in booking a session next year, send me an email. i look forward to it.

{gavin--day 6}

what a little peanut!! what a great way to spend a morning! i LOVED every second with this little angel today. he surprised mom and dad a couple weeks early and today he was 6 days old. he gave us quite a fight, but i could have stayed their all day with him...do i didn't mind :)
he is absolutely perfect!!

it was another gorgeous wedding!! a huge congrats to dale and kristen!! it was an amazing fall day (looked like rain, but we never did get any) and everything was so perfect. kristen was a stunning bride and dale, such a handsome groom. we really had a wonderful time yesterday. it was such an honor to be a part of your amazing day! thank you for letting us capture it for you!

i think i heard one of my favorite things from all of the weddings this summer. as the night was coming to an end and thank yous were being given, kristen said, "i know it's only day one....but this marriage is totally gonna rock!!". i LOVE that!!! :)

after the ceremony, we rushed outside to get pictures of the newlyweds just as the sun was setting.

this was our last wedding for 2009 and jeremie and i want to say a HUGE thank you to all of our amazing couples from this summer. each and everyone of you have a special place in our hearts. we truly feel blessed to be able to do what we do.....and we couldn't do that with out you. so, thank you again and we love you all!! xo

{one last time...gorgeousness!}

we photographed christa and mike's wedding back in august (see it here) and tonight i did their 'one last time' session. these session are so much fun! a great time for the bride to get their dress on again and get some great/fun pictures. everyone is relaxed and you can do things you couldn't do on your wedding day because you don't have to worry about staying clean or
rushing to the ceremony. i highly recommend it to every bride and/or couple.
anyway...tonight has to be one of my favorite sessions. i was a bit worried as i was heading to the session and it was pouring rain...but it turned out to be a beautiful evening with lots of sunshine. christa and mike are madly in love and it makes my heart smile.
he told her the entire session how beautiful she was and how much he loved her. *swoon!*
......and just look at her...she's stunning!! how amazing are her eyes!!!
christa and mike...i adore you guys!! i wish you both only the best in life!!

this session was non-stop laughter. little man, l, had us in full belly laughs the entire session. so funny!! these 3 beautiful children belong to a friend of mine.....seriously. do i have the best friends or what?! although, i don't think they were looking forward to pictures, i think even they will have to admit we had a great time. thank so much, g, for letting me play with your kiddos today! i had so much much....my laughing muscles are sore! :)
